I know I haven't updated in ages, but I wanted to let you know about a new LHotP book that came out last week. The Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie by Wendy McClure follows Wendy's adventures as she explores the world of Laura Ingalls Wilder through the books, TV show, historical sites, and the fanbase. Full disclosure: this blog is mentioned in the book, so I wanted to reciprocate the shout out. Woo!
For people who have read the book and are checking out this site: welcome! I hope you find some recaps you enjoy...or at least barely tolerate. It is my hope to return to recapping episodes sometime this summer. I write several recaps a week at the site TVLatest.com, so writing recaps for sport is challenging to pencil in. I'm also one of those that saw this blog from the Wilder Life. Just got it out of the library three days ago. Anyway, I loved the Little house books as a kid, liked the tv shows, although I only remember seeing them in reruns (too young to watch them during prime time)so thought I'd give this site a look see. So far pretty good.
Just got The Wilder Life on my kindle and thought I would stop by and say hey! Love what I see so far!
I too found you from "The Wilder Life" and have taken a break from the book (which I am totally enjoying) to read your blog (which I am totally enjoying.)
I am currently reading "Little House on the Prairie" with my 6th grade students and recently watched my first episodes EVER (believe it or not) of the show in order to ascertain if there was anything of value to show the kids (there's not). I'm loving your take on the show, as it totally validates my own opinions. Not only are the storylines asinine, the historical accuracy is AWFUL.
But I digress, and you already know that.
I hope you can find time in your schedule to get back to this blog...I am really enjoying all the giggles I'm getting from your descriptions. Reading your blog is WAY better than actually watching the show!
I totally wish you would add more to this blog! Every time I watch "Little House" (which is twice a day!), I come here to see if you've written about that episode. You are missed!
